Last spring, 100 PHS students signed up to be a part of a growing project called The 100 Notebook Project. The launch event was held here in the school library where students were given a notebook, pen, and a presentation from the coordinators of the project from Phidon Pens and Creative Capital of Canada (HIP Developments). The students took their notebooks and went away to write in them for the next 4 months. Three different groups of 100 people participated in this event across Waterloo Region. This past October, students had to return their notebooks after having filled them with their personal reflections of the world around them. Many students found it very difficult to return their notebook in which they poured out their ideas, thoughts, art, and hearts.

Next Thursday, January 23rd, the 100NBP invites our students, the other participants from the region, their families and friends, and community members to come together to share and celebrate their experiences at the exhibition of the notebooks.  This is an open community event and all are welcome. This will take part in the beautiful new event space, Tapestry Hall, in Galt. It will be a gallery-style setting intended to encourage community building and conversation as guests can take a look at the notebooks.
