Congratulations PHS Class of 2026!!!

We are thrilled to announce that Commencement will take place on Monday, June 8th, 2026 @ 7:00 pm at the Centre in the Square, 101 Queen St. N., Kitchener.

What is involved with Commencement?
Commencement is a formal event to celebrate the successful completion of secondary school and “commencement” into the next stage of life. Highlights of Commencement will include the Principal’s message, the Valedictorian address and recognition awards.

  • Graduates are asked to register their intention to attend by signing up for a souvenir cap and gown by April 1st, 2026.
  • It is very important that we get this information before April 1st, 2026, as the final gown order must be placed that week.
  • The cost for the grad’s registration, souvenir cap and gown is $40, payable on School Day.

*Guest Tickets – NEW THIS YEAR* 
All tickets for friends and family are being sold directly through the Centre in the Square, for $15 per ticket.
They are not on sale just yet – but we will advise you as soon as they are. Link to be provided at a later date once ticket sales are active.
Grads do not require a ticket from the Centre in the Square.

Centre in the Square – Venue and Ceremony Details
Address: 101 Queen St N, Kitchener, ON N2H 6P7
Ceremony Start Time: 7:00pm
Grad check in: Doors to the venue will open at 6:00pm, and the ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00pm. Students may arrive as early as 5:45pm and must be there before 6:30pm. Please enter through the Main Doors of the venue where students will be directed to the appropriate waiting area.
If you have digital tickets on your phone, you will be scanned in by the ushers at the door.
If you need to pick up your paper tickets, the box office in the Main Lobby will open at 6:00pm.

Guest Tickets
All tickets for friends, family and guests will be sold through Centre in the Square. Once inside the venue, CITS staff will usher you to your assigned seats. Preston staff will also be present in the lobby area for assistance. Please note that because it is assigned seating, guest tickets purchased at different times may result in guests not sitting together.

Parking
There are several parking lots in close vicinity to the Centre in the Square, including an above and underground lot, right at the venue.

Grad Breakfast & Gown Pick Up
Grad breakfast is scheduled for Wednesday June 3rd, 2026 during Period 1. All grads are invited to attend the breakfast. Students registered for Commencement will receive their souvenir cap and gown packages at this time. Please ensure they are kept safely and brought with the grad to the ceremony.

Flowers & Gifts
If you are interested in purchasing a gift or flowers for your graduate, there will be a vendor on site that night with fresh flowers and 2026 Grad memorabilia; pre-orders will be available as well. More details and a direct link will be provided shortly when sales are active.
