Vaccine

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students in Grade 9 or 10 may not have been able to complete their Grade 7 vaccines provided by Public Health at their school. These vaccines include:

Students in Grade 9 or 10 this school year are eligible to complete their school vaccine series.

Due to COVID-19, eligibility for some vaccines has been extended

  • Students born in 2006 and 2007 are eligible for Hepatitis B vaccine until August 31, 2022
  • Girls born in 2002 and 2003 remain eligible for the HPV vaccine until August 31, 2022
  • Students in Grades 7 or later remain eligible until Meningococcal ACYW-135 vaccine is received

Vaccination Catch-Up Clinics

Vaccination clinics are being offered at Public Health offices at 99 Regina Street South, Waterloo and 99 Beechwood Road, Cambridge.

Before you make your appointment

Before booking an appointment, parents, caregivers or students should update their immunization records. It is important to ensure that all vaccinations your child received from your health care provider or out of province have been reported to Public Health.

Report immunization records

A student’s Health Card number is needed to view their immunization record. If you do not have a health card, you can use the Ontario Immunization Identification (OIID) usually found on a child’s report card.
