Dear Preston Families,

The last day of school before Winter Break is Friday, December 22nd.

Winter Break will run from Monday, Dec 25th to Friday, January 5th 2024. Students will return to school on Monday, January 8th, 2024.

As we head into the winter break, I want to give you some information about the upcoming Exam and Evaluation Days in January.

Thirty per cent (30%) of a student’s grade in every course is based on final evaluations administered at or towards the end of the course. As a result, regular attendance for the month of January is very important.

Students may also have a formal exam which would take place during the three exam days designated for this purpose. Exam Days are January 29th, January 30th, January 31st, 2024.

More specific information regarding final evaluations and exams will be shared by individual classroom teachers.

 

Upcoming events in the New Year to mark in your calendar include:

Grade 8 Information Night – January 17th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm (more details to follow)

School Council – January 24th at 7pm (Virtual) Link will be provided during the week of January 24th.

Exam and Evaluation Days – January 29th – 31st

PD Day (No School) – February 1st
