Parents, families and caregivers are invited to share their ideas for potential school projects for the 2025-26 Parents Reaching Out (PRO) Grant.
What is the PRO Grant?
The Parents Reaching Out (PRO) Grant is funding provided by the Ministry of Education to allow school boards to work with their Parent Involvement Committee and/or school councils to develop projects that:
- Address local parent, family and caregiver needs
- Remove barriers to parent, family and caregiver participation in their child’s education.
What Projects Can be Funded?
Projects are eligible for PRO funding if they help schools improve in at least one of these areas:
- Addressing social inclusion and racism, specifically anti-Indigenous, anti-Black, and anti-Asian racism and other prejudices toward racialized and marginalized groups
- Creating a safe and welcoming environment
- Demonstrating respect for parents, families and caregivers as valued partners within the education system regarding decisions about their child’s education
- Enhancing communication with teachers
- Informing parents, families and caregivers about the expectations of the Ontario Curriculum and supporting resources
The projects must be completed and expenses incurred between September 3, 2025, and June 1, 2026.
