UNIVERSITY APPLICATION SITE

Ontario university applications for programs beginning in September 2026 (Fall) or January 2027 (Winter) are due January 15, 2026. Apply online through the Ontario Universities Application Centre. The cost is $156 for 3 program choices. Certain programs have “extra fees“.

There have been 2 changes to the process as of September 2024:

There is a common application form now for students who are currently in high school AND student who have been out of high school for more than one year.

PIN #’s will no longer be used for the application form.  Instead students will apply using their personal Ontario Education Number (OEN). This is a different number than your Student Number.  The OEN is found on any report card  you have ever received and on a graduation summary sheet given to you by guidance.

UNIVERSITY EVENTS

ONTARIO UNIVERSITY FAIR (OUF) in Toronto

  • ALL Ontario Universities will be at this event.  Extra workshops are offered on topics like OSAP, campus life
  • Saturday September 27 & Sunday September 28 from 9:30 am – 5pm daily, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto, ON
  • FREE admission; you can register for an OUF pass if you wish but you do not to register ahead to attend

VIRTUAL UNIVERSITY INFORMATION SESSIONS

  • Tuesday, September 16, 2025  online from 6-8 pm
  • Thursday, November 10, 2025 online from 5-7 pm
  • Registration is required, click here
  • Links for virtual sessions will be sent out on the Grade Google Classrooms “PHS Class of 2026 and  PHS Class of 2027”

 CAMBRIDGE POST SECONDARY PATHWAY NIGHT (held at GCI this year)

  • This will be held in  April 8, 2026  from 6:30-8:00pm (opening remarks at 6:30 in Tassie Hall)
  • This event is for all Cambridge Families from ALL High Schools – ONE STOP PATHWAYS EVENT
  • ALL pathways will be on site (University, College, Apprenticeship, Employment)
  • An event to look at all post secondary pathways under one roof

ONTARIO UNIVERSITY REGIONAL FAIR in Waterloo 

  • ALL Ontario Universities will be at this event.
  • Each University will have a table with a university representative to answer your questions
  • This will be held October 16, 2025 at University of Waterloo (Columbia Icefield) from 10am – 1pm and from 5-8pm
  • If you wish, register for an OUEvents Pass where you will receive a barcode for the event. Ask universities’ to scan your barcode to share your information with them. They will send you information on their specific university.

University Open House Schedule
Visit University campuses when you can.  Open Houses / Fall Preview Days / March Break Events are larger events where you often can get into lecture halls and see inside residence rooms.
