Final Exams as an assessment are scheduled on or near the last four school days of each semester. In courses that have final exams as a component of the 30% summative, attendance is mandatory. The final exam is written on the day assigned based on the school calendar.
Final exam days are not considered holidays. Final exam days are instructional days. Families are not to plan, schedule or book vacations during these days. Students in a course with a final exam must attend and write the exam.
However, only students with scheduled final exams or students asked by their teacher to attend school in order to complete missing work, are to be present in the school during final exam days.
Once the schedule of courses with a final exam has been determined for each semester, it will be posted on this page. Historically, all courses with a final exam have been written as follows:
Period 1 classes with a final exam are written on the first day of the exam dates noted on the school calendar.
Period 2 classes with a final exam are written on the second day of the exam dates noted on the school calendar.
Period 3 classes with a final exam are written on the third day of the exam dates noted on the school calendar.
Period 4 classes with a final exam are written on the fourth day of the exam dates noted on the school calendar.
All exams start at 9:00 am each day.
Buses will run on their normal schedule. There will be no late bus.
