Over 700 students represented Team Ontario at DECA Internationals April 24 to May 1 where 19 000 students from across the US, Mexico, Germany, Spain, and Korea met to compete. 34 students from SJAM, BCI, GPSS, WCI, and PHS represented Waterloo County. The PHS DECA team had a great week. Maddie and Mackenzie worked very hard to prepare for role plays and written exams. The girls earned Top 20 medals after the first round which meant they competed immediately in the finals where only 10% of competitors move on. Congratulations to Maddie and Mackenzie on their outstanding accomplishments placing Top 10 overall in their Finance Team event and making PHS and Waterloo County very proud. Hannah and Sheheryar had a great learning experience in the Leadership Training Academy and are excited to bring back many new ideas to our Preston DECA chapter.
