May 3rd, 2021
Each year, Education Week (May 3-7) provides us with an opportunity to highlight and celebrate the incredible work that happens in the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) every day and all that public education offers to our students – each and every one.
For 2021, Ontario’s Education Week theme is #StrongerTogether. Building on the 2020 theme, Rising to the Challenge, we are recognizing our collective efforts in overcoming the difficulties of COVID-19.
Across the province, our teachers, staff and families have been united in helping students succeed. They have risen to every challenge – finding creative, innovative, and effective ways to support learning and student well-being.
We want to recognize the extraordinary work each of our educators, staff members and trustees do as we endeavour to provide every student with a welcoming and inclusive environment, but also the excellence in teaching and education we have come to expect – all while navigating a global pandemic.
want to thank our families and our community for their unwavering support and trust. Every day you’re entrusting us with helping to build our students’ futures which is a joy and a challenge we commit to every day. .
As we mark Education Week, we would ask that you take a moment to express our gratitude to those people in our system who contribute to student achievement, and who make a difference in our students’ lives every day.
