Measles Vaccines Ahead of March Break
There have been increased global measles activity and recent cases of measles in Ontario. Region of Waterloo Public Health recommends that anyone planning to travel over March Break should ensure that they are protected against measles.
Measles vaccines are a vaccine required under the Immunization of School Pupils Act. Families and caregivers have been notified if their children are not up-to-date with their immunizations.
Families and caregivers should contact their health care provider if they require immunization for measles or are unsure.
