Attention Class of 2020!
Posted May 22, 2020
We want to celebrate this major milestone with you and honour all your hard work. We have ordered Grad signs for you to pick up and put in your yard, window, door, etc.
THIS SIGN IS FREE OF CHARGE for our Grads!
We are going to be doing contactless pick-ups at the school on the following dates and times:
Tuesday, May 26 from 10 am-12 pm
Thursday, May 28 from 12 pm-2 pm
Friday, May 29 from 1-3 pm
Sign pick up will happen in the side parking lot at the school, with a one-way flow of traffic!
We will also have professional photographers there that will be ready to take your picture in front of the school. Please come ready for a picture – wear your Prom outfit, bring a prop of your choice, wear your favourite Panther uniform – you can bring anything you like to personalize your photo!!! Photographers will be respecting social distancing rules but have the technology to print pictures right on scene!
We ask that you follow the following rules when picking up the signs in order to keep all students and staff safe:
1. If you are driving, you remain in your vehicle until the sign has been placed on the table and the staff member has stepped back. You should also be coming by yourself or with your family members – no carpooling please!
2. If you are walking to school, we ask that you remain 2 meters from other people and wait to come up to the table to get your sign until the staff member has stepped back.
3. When getting your picture done, we ask that you wait in a designated parking spot until you are asked to approach the photo area and have your photo taken. Bring a prop, dress-up – you can choose how to make your photo special. Photos will be printed right on scene!
We want to celebrate you but we need to do this safely. This is not a social event and we will be enforcing strict social distancing rules. Please be respectful of all other students and staff. Masks and gloves are encouraged for pickups but remain optional.
If you can not make it to pick up your sign you may send a family member to get it for you! Please contact Mrs. Campbell if you have any questions about the signs. You can reach her via email at jennifer_campbell@wrdsb.ca
We can’t wait to see you Panthers – even if it is from a distance!
